Ethiopian ruling party Ethiopian Peoples’ Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF) has been undergoing a dialogue and consultation with Ethiopian political parties operating legally in the country. The dialogue including making reforms in constitution and election laws.
But the parties and EPRDF has agreed only on two points so far, where some big opposition parties are not even participating. As EPRDF decides to work only with political parties that are willing to cooperate under the umbrella of the joint political parties’ council.
Representatives of these competent political parties, are making the dialogues and negotiations with the ruling party without any outside moderator.
Leader of one of Ethiopia’s big political parties, Ethiopian Democratic Party EDP, Ato Lidetu Ayalew, says this dialogue will not solve the Ethiopian political crisis.
