Ethiopia to Open Embassy in Kigali, Rwanda

Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announce the opening Ethiopian embassy in Rwanda’s capital, Kigali. Ethiopia has been carrying out its diplomatic relation with Rwanda through its embassy in Uganda.

meles-alem-foreign-ministerIn his weekly briefing for the media, the Spokesperson, Meles Alem said the opening the embassy will have a crucial role in enhancing the bilateral ties between the two countries and consolidate bilateral ties between the two countries.

Hailemariam Desalegn will inaugurate the Ethiopian embassy in Kigali this week as he is will attend the 2nd Ethio-Rwanda Joint Commission meeting that will take place from April 27 to 29 in Rwanda.

This new Ethiopian embassy in Kigal would increase the number of embassies Ethiopia has in different countries to 54.

Rwanda opened it is Embassy in Ethiopia since 1978.
