An Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with a flight number ET 500 has diverted its route from Dulles Airport in the U.S to Pittsburgh earlier today. The aircraft was flying from Ireland, Dublin to Dulles in Washington was forced to divert it in the past two hours due to bad weather. Its scheduled departure was 5:20am and arrival at 8:15am.
Pittsburgh Airport later posted the following message on their Facebook page:
“Welcome international diversions: Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 777 and Emirates Airlines Airbus 380 (first time ever at PIT!) stopped by for fuel this morning en route to Dulles due to weather there. Safe travels, big guys! Thanks to airport firefighter Demari Garth for the great photos!”
