Ethiopian telecommunication is on the verge of a remarkable expansion that could add millions of wireless phones into its network. Coming along with this expansion is RIDE, a product of Hybrid Designs PLC, that connects customers to Blue Lada Taxi Drivers safe and secured.
RIDE EthiopiaThe CEO of Hybrid Designs, Samrawit F. emphasizes that their business model is best suited to reduce traffic accidents in the country as well as bringing convenience and safety to travelers in Addis Ababa. As this is the case, deploying the service couldn’t be any easier to the company with continuous interruption from the service provider due to matters that could be resolved easily. Up to this point, it was common to see a note with caution of occasional service interruption on RIDE’s Facebook page but today magnifies the challenge Hybrid Designs faces to run the service at a minimal level.
According to RIDE’s Facebook page, a Message Box assigned to their office encounters multiple power failures which couldn’t get fixed in 6 weeks. The matter was brought to Ethiotelecom’s attention formally but their office work has delayed the real solution, which is either reallocating the Message Box or providing a back up power supply.
RIDE pleads to the CEO of Ethiotelecom, Andualem Demissie in an open letter seeking a direct action to fix the issue and provide jobs to countless Taxi Drivers in the capital. Would their letter get a response?
